Most things to do with Aten are covered in the user manual - as of version 1.7 this is the only document available, and is provided as a pdf. The manual includes descriptions of all aspects of Aten, including a quickstart guide, a list of frequently encountered problems, compilation guides for various platforms (including Windows) and usage examples. The TODO/buglist for the most up-to-date revision (i.e. the beta version) can be found here.

The preferred method for getting help or offering a bug report is by email:

Email for bug reports, feature requests, and help with using Aten. Bugs found in the code will be fixed as quickly as is humanly possible, and new features will be incorporated as and when time permits.

As of 21/06/2011 the Forums are no longer active - the number of fake/spam accounts registered daily (and repeatedly) by abusers or just people with nothing better to do with their time has become too aggravating to continue.
